With the Corona Branch Atlas, the ifo Institute provides important information on the starting position of the individual industries. Structural characteristics and various development indicators are taken into account. From these facts it can be deduced how strongly individual industries are affected by the corona crisis. On this basis, the exit options and economic prospects can also be assessed with regard to the post-Corona period.
"The Corona Data Monitor of IfW Kiel shows continuously updated indicators that allow conclusions to be drawn about economic activity in Germany and Europe and the spread of the pandemic. It thus provides indications of how the behaviour of companies and people is changing in the face of the drastic conditions imposed by governments and possible easing of regulations."
In a special issue of the ostBLOG, the IOS deals with the effects of the corona crisis in Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. Historians, economists and political scientists refer to social, political and economic aspects. The authors include IOS scientists and colleagues from the IOS' extensive international network, many of whom work in the region under consideration.
At this point we are trying to collect contributions from member institutes on the Corona pandemic and its consequences. These are primarily activities of the institutes and no joint projects of the Research Alliance.
