Mirror, mirror on the wall – Evaluation of Collaboration Experiences of the Leibniz Research Alliance ‘Crises in a Globalised World’

The aim of this project is to evaluate the structures and collaboration experiences of the Leibniz Research Alliance ‘Crises in a Globalised World’ (LFV Crisis) and to derive guidelines for future research collaborations.

To evaluate collaboration experiences, quantitative and qualitative research methods will be applied. We plan to collect data from all members of the LFV ‘Crisis’ by using a web-based survey questionnaire. We will also conduct individual interviews on collaboration experiences with a selection of alliance members. In addition, we will focus on the collaboration experiences of up to three research projects of the groups in the LFV Crisis for a more detailed in-depth evaluation.

The project runs parallel to the current planning of the new research alliance structure at Leibniz association. This way, former collaboration experiences can be analyzed and results may be used to formulate guidelines which inform the development of new structures and principles for future research. We envisage the guidelines to be a basis for new Leibniz research alliances or new forms of collaborative research and thus expect project outcomes to have a positive impact within but also beyond the Leibniz research community.
